Safe Senders

Safe Senders is a more promising, comprehensive and easy-to-use service than those based on IP reputation and SPF alone. It is included in the RBL service.

Scrollout F1 gateway already includes this service. Do not attempt to re-include it.

Security. With today’s validation systems, qualified domain names are less exposed to scam messages, even when those are sent from exploited sources with good reputation but forged senders.

Deliverability. Minimizes the risk of legitimate messages being flagged as spam (false positives), regardless of IP reputation and content.

Who qualifies

Qualified:

  • SMB/SME companies, public institutions, news/media agencies and popular e-commerce websites.
  • Institutions in the public sector.
  • Individuals sending personal or professional messages.

Not qualified:

  • ISPs/ESPs providing shared email service.
  • Public domains providing shared services: file sharing, blogs, forums and so on.
  • Any domain name with poor reputation.
Qualified Not qualified
microsoft.com, apple.com, myblog.blogspot.com, amazon.com hotmail.com, icloud.com, blogspot.com, amazonses.com

Requirements: DKIM

  • The domain names and sending email services must have a DKIM signature system.
  • Receiving email services must have DKIM validation.

Scrollout email gateway simplifies both (signature and validation) and can be used to upgrade outdated messaging services.

Limitations

The risk of infected attachments and malware links, more often sent from an exploited legitimate source, remains. Safe Senders should not be used to skip attachment scanning or cancel URL scoring.

Request to be listed

Check the requirements above first. Your email app opens with the message ready to send; it is sent from your own address, so we can reply.

The domain in your From address, for example example.com.
The company, institution or person who owns the domain.
The name your mail provider gave your DKIM key, often "default", "s1" or "google". It is the s= value in the DKIM-Signature header of a message you sent.
A short description, for example order confirmations, invoices or a monthly newsletter.
